Lead Pneumatic Driver-Trainer

This position reports to the Director of Regional Operations and works with the senior load planner daily to ensure proper load planning and driver scheduling. Will be accountable for the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of all training requirements in accordance with Company policies, procedures, operating standards, government regulations, laws and industry standards and regulations.

  • Participate in the hire of new company drivers by participating in interviewing, orientation, and driver training
  • Coordinate and conducte training in transportation of goods, product stewardship training, industry and customer service training, and pre and post trip inspection requirements
  • Ensure the most effective utilization of facilities, equipment and manpower using continuous improvement tools
  • Perform in cab evaluation (ride alongs), job task observations/evaluations, and other related training programs
  • Perform evaluations through checklists and observations, as well as documenting progress
  • Maintain proper training, evaluation documentation
  • Samsara/on-board systems utilization and compliance
  • Serve as a professional role model to the drive team
  • Train new Drivers in all areas of pneumatic tanks and cement product deliveries including proper offloading process and techniques
  • Utilize effective delivery skills (eye contact, voice intonation, and various questioning techniques)
  • When not in training the expectation is that the Trainer will take part in regular deliveries
  • Adhere to the companies Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies
